Ivan grew up in a small fishing village near Ston, the last generation of one of the oldest boat-making families on the Adriatic. Building boats by hand is in his blood — a craft and a tradition he now hopes to one day pass on to his two young sons, aged four and one.
He has spent most of his life at sea — fishing, navigating and finding stillness on the water across some of the roughest oceans in the world, on boats of every size. That experience shows in the calm, confident way he reads the Adriatic. And in winter, when the tourists are gone, you'll still find him out fishing.
