Seeing both Mostar and Kravice Waterfalls in one day from Dubrovnik is completely doable — it's the trip we run most often. The secret is an early start and a small group. Here's roughly how the day flows.
A realistic day, hour by hour
- ~7:15–7:40am — Pickup in Dubrovnik. Hotel or nearby pickup; head north along the coast.
- Coffee stop in Neum — a short break in Bosnia's only seaside town.
- Počitelj — free time in the Ottoman-era stone town on the Neretva (on the private tour).
- Kravice Waterfalls — approx. 1.5 hours. Walk down to the falls; swim in summer.
- Mostar — approx. 2.5–3 hours. The Old Bridge, bazaar and lunch at your own pace.
- Return to Dubrovnik — back by early evening.
Why timing works — or doesn't
The whole plan hinges on two things: departure time and group size. Leave late and you lose the morning light and hit border traffic. Travel with 40 people and you spend the day waiting — for the slowest walker, for the coach to reload, for every passport at the border. With a maximum of eight guests, the day stays on schedule and the free-time blocks above are real, not theoretical.
Order can flip (Kravice on the way back instead of out) depending on the day's traffic and border conditions — the goal is always to keep you moving and maximise time at each stop.
Will it feel rushed?
Honestly, it's a full day, not a lazy one — but it shouldn't feel frantic. Around 1.5 hours at Kravice is enough to walk down, see the falls and swim; 2.5–3 hours in Mostar is enough for the bridge, the old town and a proper lunch.
